Dhwani Garg is an Indian-born graphic designer currently living in Ahmedabad, India. She holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Boston University. Her thesis and practice explore how type scale can intertwine through emotion, form, and system in various frameworks. With a focus on (but not limited to) publication, identity, pattern, and experimental type design. Dhwani’s designs transcend mere aesthetics; they are informed by research and embody strategic, systematic, purpose-driven elements, sometimes expressed through spontaneity.
Approaching her work through typography, she gives attention to the micro and macro details, seeking to create dynamic compositions that emphasize small, nuanced characteristics just as much as the larger visual systems.
She is also a serial sticker and meme sharer, bringing a sense of humor into her process alongside design.
